I live in a city in upstate NY and I just found out that the last two summers a third of the crows have died each summer here of west nile... But i had no idea, I had just been seeing a lot less of them, are other people seeing a lot less?
odd facts about crows that I somehow know
- they have like "nation"wide groupings like twice a year or something... my friend used to live in a place where it happened, they also collect in smaller groups of like a hundred or two, etc, I've seen it
- they are the only birds (i think this means here cuz, um, parrots! hello! but maybe they just mock? i think not though) who dont have a set call, which is pretty signifigent
- according to sandman dont they meet in like a field or something? a whole bunch of them? and then one talks for awhile and then they kill it or not?
- They stay with thier parents for several years and help raise thier siblings, here where many are dying out the survivors form new large families instead of going off on thier own
